A listing is not a diligence file.
Marketplace listings organize price, traits, and recent activity. They do not assemble every relevant signal into one token-level read.
- 01.01Floor price describes the collection at a moment in time. It does not describe one token's history.
- 01.02Transfers, settled sales, ownership changes, sanctions checks, and available lending context live in different sources.
- 01.03ApeFax assembles the supported evidence and states what could not be verified instead of filling gaps with assumptions.
- 01.04BAYC is the active cohort. Other collection cohorts are planned and have no release dates.
Risk signals need context.
Wash patterns, theft, forced sales, and sanctioned counterparties are documented market risks. A flag is a diligence signal, not an accusation.
- 02.01ApeFax screens for defined transaction patterns and shows the events behind each result.
- 02.02Low-confidence or incomplete evidence is labeled as such; it does not become a definitive fraud finding.
- 02.03The sanctions screen checks the configured Treasury source and records its state at read time.
- 02.04Lending and liquidation context appears only when a supported source resolves it.
History can affect a buying decision.
Traits describe the object. Provenance, custody, and sale conditions describe how that specific token reached the market.
- 03.01A saved ApeFax record preserves the evidence and methodology version used at that moment.
- 03.02It does not guarantee a premium, a clean result, or a future sale price.
- 03.03The contract design permits one First Edition per supported token if minting opens. Minting remains closed pending founder decisions, deployment, and founder approval.
- 03.04Notable-wallet labels appear only when the address source is documented and the relationship is verifiable.
ApeFax has a different job.
Rarity, wallet analytics, marketplaces, and block explorers answer useful but different questions. ApeFax organizes token-level diligence.
- 04.01Marketplaces remain the source for listings and marketplace-native activity.
- 04.02Etherscan remains the source for direct transaction verification.
- 04.03Rarity tools remain useful for trait frequency and rank.
- 04.04ApeFax combines supported evidence into a dated read and links back to the underlying sources.
A saved cert is a dated record.
The database record and a future on-chain cert are different products with different verification properties.
- 05.01ApeFax Certificates are currently secure, tamper-resistant records in the ApeFax database, not on-chain NFTs. Contract v3 is frozen; external review was delivered and signed off 2026-09-06. Minting remains closed pending founder decisions, deployment, and founder approval.
- 05.02Verifiable now: ApeFax re-derives and attests this grade from its frozen inputs — the cert’s verify endpoint recomputes the keccak256 gradeInputHash and replays the same score and tier band. Fully on-chain-verifiable once minted.
- 05.03Anchored on-chain after mint: the same gradeInputHash is signed into the cert NFT and re-verifiable on Ethereum via verifyCert. Minting is not open yet.
- 05.04The saved score and methodology version do not silently change when a later read produces different evidence.
Built for collectors making a decision.
ApeFax is informational diligence. It does not replace legal, tax, sanctions, or financial advice.
- 06.01Review the token before bidding, listing, lending against it, or accepting it in a transfer.
- 06.02Use the source links to verify material findings independently.
- 06.03Treat unavailable data as unavailable, not as a clean result.
- 06.04Save a record when you need a dated account of what ApeFax could verify.
Use evidence before price.
A View Unlock provides a deeper report for a specific BAYC. The report may confirm, complicate, or withhold a conclusion.
- 07.01A flag is a prompt to inspect the linked evidence, not an instruction to buy or avoid the asset.
- 07.02A clean-looking report is limited to the sources and time shown on the record.
- 07.03Numeric fair value is withheld whenever its evidence gate does not pass.
- 07.04The buyer remains responsible for the final decision.
First Edition is a contract rule, not a countdown.
Minting is closed. No live First Edition can be claimed today, and no mint date is promised.
- 08.01If minting opens, the contract design allows one First Edition flag per supported token.
- 08.02That rule applies at mint time and is not assigned retroactively to database records.
- 08.03The Founders Pass is also closed and has separate release conditions.
- 08.04Future collection cohorts keep independent gates and no announced dates.
The on-chain path remains conditional.
External review was delivered and signed off 2026-09-06. Mainnet deployment, founder approval, and mint activation remain separate gates.
- 09.01Database records are available now where the product permits access.
- 09.02A future on-chain cert would use the reviewed contract only after deployment and activation.
- 09.03No integration, lender adoption, marketplace support, or price effect is promised.
- 09.04The public methodology and source links remain the verification path for the current product.
The grading analogy has limits.
Traditional grading shows that buyers value structured documentation. ApeFax analyzes digital transaction evidence; it does not authenticate physical condition or guarantee a premium.
- 10.01Traditional graders inspect physical items; ApeFax reads supported digital records.
- 10.02ApeFax scores evidence quality and risk signals, not artistic quality or legal title.
- 10.03A saved cert is informational analysis, not an appraisal, warranty, or authenticity guarantee.
- 10.04Adoption and market impact must be earned after launch; they are not product claims.
For collection founders + teams.
Collection teams can use structured, source-linked records to help holders inspect token history without turning every market signal into a promise.
ApeFax currently supports BAYC. A later cohort requires verified data coverage, product review, and a separate release decision.
BAYC is first. Additional collections are planned, but no public release dates are promised. If you want ApeFax grading for your collection, the conversation starts at apefax.com.
